Poem by Omani poet Abu Muslim al bahlani ( 1857 - 1921 ):

​

O’ men of love, come drink from the full cup, as the singer is carolling and spinning

I have brewed from the divine drink of God, and being drunk here is not sinning

People on the righteous way have drunk from it, and are adorated and grinning

They look like drunks, misunderstood
The difference is in the sea of blindness if you walk

I have filled cups from that nectar
And played the strings to make the mute speak.

​

فيا لرجال الحب، والكاس مفعم هلم اشربوا هذا المغني ترنما

عصرت لكم من خمرة الله صفوها فموتوا بها سكرا، فما السكر مأثما

لقد هام أهل الاستقامة قبلنا بها فانتشوا بين الخليقة هيما

تراهم سكارى ينشر الجمع فهمهم ويطويه نور الفرق في أبحر العمى

ملأت لكم دني شرابا مروقا وحركت أوتاري فأنطقت أعجما
